Rachel Comey Fall 2011 Runway Review

A beautiful palette of greys, blues, and blush tones swept across the runway at the Rachel Comey Fall 2011 show today. The unexpected layering of prints and contrasting fabrications looked effortless and modern. Comey is taking her collection into the next season with updated styles and looser fits. You won’t see a lot of skinny jeans in this collection; new silhouettes, including cropped pants and above the knee circle skirts, were right on trend.

A loose fit, cropped trouser in grey plaid paired with a fur jacket worked harmoniously together. A tangerine printed pant paired with a striped blouse and nude sweater had a 70s vintage feel while looking inventive.

Prints were natural and soft in pastel splattered paint patterns and green flower designs. Against the soft fabrications and nude backgrounds, they exhibited the works of an exquisite artist. All in all, the collection is quite beautiful and refreshing, providing many fashionable styles for a city girl to drool over.
