Who: Michelle Williams
Where: The Premiere of My Week With Marilyn
Why we like it: This look isn’t outrageous or filled with color but Williams looks so fresh and glowing without looking too young or underdressed. This could easily be worn as a day look but it’s refreshing to see a defined but understated look worn at night.
How to get it at home: Start with a clean face and apply a tinted moisturizer with a highlighter such as Laura Mercier’s Illuminating Tinted Moisturizer SPF 20 $42. If you don’t have a tinted moisturizer, make your own by adding one drop of highlighter and a few drops of foundation into a compatible moisturizer. If you need to cover any problem areas such as blemishes or pigmentation, use a concealer such as Bobbi Brown’s Creamy Concealer Kit $32 which has a creamy consistency and comes with a powder to set it. You’ll want to forgo any other powder on your face to keep that dewy look from the moisturizer. Use a light-reflecting concealer under the eyes such as Givenchy’s Mister Light Instant Light Corrective Pen $33. You always want to match the textures of your base with your cheek and eye color; accordingly, apply a cream blush such as Make Up For Ever’s HD Microfinish Blush in Nip Slip $25 and blend it well into the cheeks and lips. You can also apply a small amount of to the outer crease of the eye to give warm glow to your eye area and tie together your cheeks and lips. Finish your lips with a shiny, but not glittery, lip gloss such as NARS’ Triple X Lip Gloss $24. Line the upper lash line with a smudgy pencil such as Stila’s Smudge Stick Waterproof Eye Liner $20 and blend into a soft line but keep the lower lash line bare. Curl your eyelashes and apply a few coats of your favorite mascara to finish this fresh and clean anytime look.
