Who: Emma Watson
Where: The UK Premiere of My Week with Marilyn
Why we like it: This look is not only perfect for a premiere but is also great for a holiday party. ‘Tis the season, after all. The use of one tone throughout is both surprising and easy to recreate. With a slight change in the tone of pink, this look can work for any skintone from dark to light as a monochromatic look is universally flattering.
How to get it at home: While this look requires very few colors, you want to apply them flawlessly and with precision. Start by applying a foundation with a bit of coverage to even out the skintone such as Clinique’s Even Better Makeup SPF 15 $24.50 in a smooth buffing motion. Use a brightening concealer such as By Terry’s Touche Veloutee $55.50 in the under-eye area and a creamy concealer to cover any blemishes. One of the most prominent features of this look is the strong brow; so, using a product such as Anastasia’s Brow Pen Long Wearing Brow Tint $21 with hair-like strokes, define your brows.
To get Emma’s flushed cheeks, eyes, and lips, use Bobbi Brown’s Pot Rouge in Pale Pink $24. With a brush or your fingers, apply the product to the apples of your cheeks, blending well into your skin. Using the same product, take a crease brush and apply a small amount into the outer socket line of your eyes. Blending well, this will give your eyes a sublte flush without an agressive pink color. Finish off your eyes with a coat of Benefit’s They’re Real! Mascara $22 on the upper lashes. Finally, with your finger or a lip brush, apply the Pot Rouge to your lips and finish with a similarly toned lipgloss such as NARS’ Lip Gloss in Chihuahua $24.
