Urban Outfitters is the latest retailer to collaborate with established designers.
Starting this May they’ll be scooping up indie designers to create lower-end lines of their trademark designs exclusively for the hip store.
Los Angeles-based Geren Ford, whose pieces currently sell at higher end shops like Neiman Marcus and Bergdorf Goodman, is the first in line for this partnership.
Ford’s HAWKS collection will be filled with vintage-inspired looks that have regained modernity. Hints of nautical style, menswear, and femininity combine in the range of youthful high-waisted shorts and playful dresses. Retailing for $48-128, HAWKS is already trickling into UO stores and their online shop.
