Earlier this week, Fashionista.com tweeted, “Have you heard the news? Tom Ford is a new dad!” Yup the tweets are true, WWD also confirmed that Tom Ford and his long-time partner Richard Buckley are the new proud parents of a baby boy. As expected, the biggest names in fashion congratulated the proud parents on their latest addition. British Vogue‘s EIC Alexandra Shulman tweeted, “Huge congratulations to Tom Ford and Richard Buckley on the birth of Alexander.” Derek Blasberg tweeted, “Sending congratulations to proud Pappa’s Tom Ford and Richard Buckley, and love to (the future best dressed tot) Alexander John Buckley Ford.” The Fashion Spot added, “Tom Ford is a daddy! Congratulations to him and Richard Buckley on the birth of their son, Alexander John Buckley Ford!” And it wouldn’t be a Twitter-fete without fashion’s most beloved feline, Choupette Lagerfeld, who tweeted, “As much as I detest mini humans, I would like to congratulate TomFord.” Talk about heartfelt.

Can Brad Pitt Help Chanel Sell More Perfume?

In other beautiful men news, Chanel reminds us that “ In the history of N°5, a man agrees to represent the most feminine of fragrances: Brad Pitt.” Curious as to what inspired Chanel and Brad to join forces? Well #Twitterati might be on to something. “Brad Pitt Made SERIOUS Bank For Chanel No.5 Ads,” tweets Stylecaster. The Cut elaborated, “Brad Pitt is the first male face of  No. 5; was paid $7 million for his ‘services.'” So while Brad has demonstrated through the years that his pretty face and acting skills can make just about any movie profitable, WWD asked, “Can a man effectively sell a women’s fragrance? Chanel is using Brad Pitt to find out.”

Our bet is on Brad.
