At the Toronto International Film Festival, Knightley glammed it up in an Fall 2012 Elie Saab Couture gown. Even this, the most daring of her sheer looks with a sheer skirt as well as antique lace neckline, was tastefully done—a study in elegance we’d like to see other actress who do the sheer skirt trend try. The scalloped sweetheart neckline was beautiful and the skinny belt was the perfect unexpected touch. The actress wore another sheer look at a screening in NYC that took the mesh look in a more casual direction. Her printed Valentino dress with a cream-colored Peter Pan collar evoked vintage sophistication, and her ankle-strap pumps were the perfect choice of footwear. The actress smoldered at the New York premiere in a Fall 2012 Valentino Couture gown with a high neck and long, sheer sleeves. The dark glamour of this midnight blue dress was undeniable and Knightley’s slicked side-parted bun and bold red lip completed the look.

At the UK premiere, Knightley lightened up the sheer trend, wearing a super feminine white Chanel Couture gown with an embellished halter neckline and sheer flutter sleeves. The metallic belt added just the right amount of edge against the girly pink blossoms. Done the way Knightley does, the sheer trend is definitely one you can wear this season—no bodysuit needed.
