Lush Beach Box
When I see someone take out a Lush product, I'm usually all over them about what it is and what it does and what it smells like. They just have such a variety, which is why I love their gift sets. The Lush Beach Box ($29.95) contains Ocean Salt facial cleanser, Seanik shampoo bar, Sea Vegetable soap, Sea Spray hair/skin mist and Dream Cream. I love using beachy products on vacation and these are great easy-to-pack-but-not-minuscule sizes.

Aveda Sun Care
With the havoc summer weather causes to your hair and skin, it's best to have products designed to combat the harsh elements if you're going to be outside a lot. Aveda's Sun Care line ($21-$26) includes a hair and body cleanser in one that is formulated to remove chlorine, salt and product build-up while balancing moisture. There's also an after-sun hair masque, something that's becoming all the rage.

Susan Posnick Colorcorrect
Two-in-one products are always fascinating. Susan Posnick Colorcorrect ($22) is a chubby stick that has a different shade of creamy concealer on each end, and between the two of them, you can spot-fix your complexion in a flash. The brightener end fills in undereye areas, softens lines, and highlights cheek and brow bones. The corrector end is a warmer color (the whole thing comes in four shade variants) that neutralizes discolorations on the lid and underneath eyes and camouflages imperfections, sunspots and redness.

Smashbox Photo Finish
The girl who brings the primer that will keep everyone's makeup from melting off their faces on hot summer nights is the hero of the trip. Smashbox Photo Finish primer ($36 and up) comes in several formulations for specific needs and is the industry standard in makeup primer. It helps you use less product and keep the product you do use where you apply it for a full day, even in the sultry summer. Their new Camera Ready CC Cream ($42) comes with broad spectrum SPF 30 and helps correct dark spots. Look out for this to become a cult product.

Aerin Beach Cream and Lip Gloss
You know that one lip gloss that looks good on your whole group of friends even though you have crazy different skin tones and beauty styles? Aerin lip gloss in Sunset ($30) is that lip gloss.
The brand's Beach Cream for Hair and Body ($45) is another beach bag must-have. It has a subtle shimmer that lends skin a slight bronzed glow and reacts to the sun's warming rays to activate a deep conditioning treatment for hair.
