Admittedly, my love affair with Canadian Goose has come to an end since I’ve spotted Torontonions wrapped in the outer layer during 18 degree weather (though the brand still has its die-hard fans), but thankfully there’s a new batch of winter warmers arriving on the market to protect us from that nippy northern climate and here are just a few that I’m currently coveting all for under $500.
1. Homegrown Canadian brand Lifetime Collective (they started out in a dingy basement) has really caught my eye with this oxblood Casper Coat for $275; 2. Scandinavian clothing company Minimum wants to bring a bit of Danish to your life with their Kaisa Coat in Shadow Green for $200; 3. I simply can’t wait for Soia & Kyo’s World MasterCard Fashion Week show, but before then, I’ll settle with splurging on one of their finest coats, like this Carissa Wine Down Coat with Fur Trimmed Hood for $480; 4. Again with the Scanda (but let’s agree that if anyone knows how to keep a Canadian warm, it’s an Alpine territory), this grey Veroni Jacket has a cool tribal flare for effortless weekend wear at $130; 5. And finally, another Soia & Kyo piece (how could we not?), this Alois Long Black Wool Puffy Coat has the right name, the right look and right price at $390.
Now tell me which coat do you most covet or have you discovered an equally enviable piece recently?
