The leggiest, tallest, most symmetrical-looking humans turned up to David Jones’ Sydney and Melbourne stores over January 14 and 15, strutting their best runway strolls and blank-face stares in the hopes of walking the department store’s highly anticipated Autumn 2015 fashion launch.
Judged by model Megan Gale, head stylist Kelvin Harries, and designers Michael Lo Sordo and Dion Lee, the supernatural specimens did their best to secure an opportunity to walk alongside the store’s beautiful high-profile ambassadors, Jessica Gomes, Montana Cox and Jason Dundas.
We’ve done our research, and without pointing out the obvious DJs regulars like the Stenmark twins, Alexandra Agoston and Samantha Harris, here’s who we’re expecting to see on the runway for Autumn 2015.
Models We're Predicting for the David Jones Autumn 2105 Fashion Launch
-
Sharnee Gates
This Perth-born teenager has been globetrotting around Paris and London, working for the likes of Asos and Dior, but was back in town for the DJs casting. She's an up-and-comer with no signs of stopping.
-
Tokio James
Standing at 181 cm, Tokio is a force to be reckoned with. She was spotted in the Herald Sun for an article about the upcoming show, making us think she's secured a spot.
-
Harrison Field
Originally from the Gold Coast, Harrison has begun to call Sydney home, where the DJs show is conveniently located. He was also all the rage at MBFWA last year, where he walked for Emma Mulholland.
-
Cassie Thompson
David Jones posted a shot of Cassie to its Instagram, so things are promising for this fresh-faced talent.
-
Meaghan Gleeson
Now that Jessica Gomes is the ambassador, we're hoping to see a little more sex appeal on the DJs runway. We think Meaghan could deliver.
-
Zacharia Atkinson
Kelvin freakin' Harries referred to this guy as an "Amazing cool kid". Nuff said.
-
Amy Willock
"Last day with the Melbourne family before heading back to Perth! See you all again soon," Amy wrote to Instagram. Perhaps when she sees them at the DJs show?
-
Cissy Zhang
Fashion bloggers tend to attract attention and coverage, which is why Cissy of The Girl in the Bunny Ears would be a good pick.
-
Abbie Weir
She mightn't have won like DJs regular Montana Cox, but we think her ANTM experience will get her over the line.
-
Jack Kennedy
Ever heard the saying "It's not what you know, it's who you know"? Well, this babe is dating fellow model and DJs favourite Avril Alexander, which could work in his favour.
-
Tommy Mckeown
We spied Tommy's casting card on the judging panel's desk, right to the top. He must be a strong contender.
-
Chris Perceval
Spoiler alert! "Modern man & International runway dude @chris_perceval cast this week for DJs A/W runway," head stylist Kelvin wrote to his Instagram.
