Mick Jagger Starts L’Wren Scott Scholarship Fund

To honor his late partner L’Wren Scott, Mick Jagger is setting up a scholarship fund at Central Saint Martins. One student per year will benefit from the three-year long scholarship, which will cover two years of tuition as well as living expenses. The fund will support students enrolled in the school’s MA fashion program.

Scott’s suicide last March came as a huge shock to the fashion community. The designer was found in her New York City apartment, having ended her life at just 49 years old. We don’t know how much the scholarship is worth, but CSM’s MA Course Director Fabio Piras called it “extremely generous.”

The scholarship will go to one talented CSM student starting October 2015.
