We hope you Karlie Kloss fans got your fill of seeing the model twirl around as one of Victoria’s Secret’s Angels (as if such a thing were possible). After only three years with the lingerie brand, Karlie Kloss is hanging up her Angel wings and leaving Victoria’s Secret. Ed Razek, a rep for the retailer, says that Kloss is departing because she can no longer make the time commitment that comes with being an Angel. “Reluctantly, we agreed she would leave the brand at the end of her contract.”
Considering that Kloss is starting at NYU’s Gallatin School of Individualized Study this fall, it makes sense that she would streamline her commitments. After all, she will probably need more time to focus on her schoolwork. “It’s something that I’ve wanted to do for a very long time,” Kloss said of her foray into higher education in this month’s Vogue. “I’ll still be working full-time,” she says. “I’m incredibly ambitious and have lots of goals within my career that I’m not slowing down on anytime soon.”
We’ll definitely miss Kloss, but on the bright side, this could be an opportunity for Victoria’s Secret to add a little diversity to its roster of Angels.
