Bündchen posted a reflection on her career to Instagram, noting how blessed she is for her extraordinary run, which started when she was just 14 years old. That’s a long time to be beautiful! “Today after 20 years in the industry, it is a privilege to be doing my last fashion show by choice and yet still be working in other facets of the business,” she captioned an image of her teenaged self to Instagram.
Bündchen’s husband, Tom Brady, also wrote a sweet and adorable note to his wife, which proved that even though Gisele might not be walking the runway ever again, she’s still a woman who has it all. “Congratulations Love of my Life. You inspire me every day to be a better person,” he wrote in a post on Facebook. “I am so proud of you and everything you have accomplished on the runway. I have never met someone with more of a will to succeed and determination to overcome any obstacle in the way. You never cease to amaze me. Nobody loves life more than you and your beauty runs much deeper than what the eye can see. I can’t wait to see what’s next. I love you.”
We’re definitely sad to see Gisele go, but we’re not too worried. Bündchen said that fewer catwalk appearances will free her up for other projects, so we’re excited to see her career soar off the runway.
