What goes around comes around — at least that’s the case in fashion. Just look at car wash hemlines. This trend began all the way back in the 20s with fun-loving flappers who bucked convention. Since then, the high-slit wonders have popped back up during the psychedelic wave of the 60s and again throughout the 90s.
After a relatively long slumber, designers resurrected car wash skirts for Fall 2015. We first spotted them in New York at shows like Tommy Hilfiger and Proenza Schouler, but it was their appearance on Christian Dior’s runway in Paris that solidified their standing as the statement skirt of the season. Care to give it a whirl?
