Victoria Beckham’s Scrapped 2003 Hip Hop Album Has Leaked

That’s right Victoria ‘Posh Spice’ Beckham tried to launch a hip hop career back in 2003, but unfortunately even with the help of Roc-A-Fella co-founder Damon Dash, the project was scrapped.

Going on to re-brand herself as a fashion mogul and muse in the years after, the internet has today seen fit to unearth the ill-fated endeavour with some tracks finally seeing the light of day.

Clearly angling at some kind of cross-Atlantic J Lo vibes on the album, titled Come Together, it was set to feature verses from the likes of Wu Tang Clan’s Ol’ Dirty Bastard and (in a totes hilar mis-pairing) M.O.P rappers Billy Danze and Lil’ Fame.

As The Mirror reports, Dash actually defended Beckham’s decision to move into hip-hop after rumours began circulating around the album.

“Because Victoria’s record company aren’t happy about the fact that she came over to New York to work with me they are putting out stories. Before anyone’s even heard the album they were making things up,” he told the Evening Standard.

“I heard a story that Victoria was calling herself the female Eminem. That’s just dumb. She never said that. I’m going to open Roc-a-Fella Records in London. I’ll show these Telstar cats how it’s done,” he added.

Victoria Beckham has certainly moved on to bigger things, creating a fashion empire all while raising four kids no less, so clearly a scrapped album wasn’t going to bring Posh down.
