New York Fashion Week was full of surprises. This season saw Raf Simons serve up his own brand of Americana at Calvin Klein , Marc Jacobs had models checking their phones during his presentation and political statements were about as prevalent as Hillary Clinton’s pantsuits during the election (and we love a good pantsuit). Ready for another surprise? In our seasonal tally of the top walkers of NYFW, only one familiar face found her way back to the list from Spring 2017 . American-made Jay Wright must be doing something right because she hit the runway for 14 shows this season — though that number was down slightly from Spring 2017 when we saw her walk 18 shows.
While Jay was the lone holdout, we were pleasantly surprised to see that six women of color made it on the Fall 2017 list. And it was a pretty diverse list, featuring models from not only all over the globe — Australia, Russia, Jamaica, Nigeria, China and right here at home — but also of all different ethnicities. We’re hoping that trend continues for the rest of Fashion Month, though that remains to be seen. In the meantime, check out the slideshow above to see who got the most mileage out of the latest edition of NYFW.
Note: In addition to Charlee Fraser and Ysaunny Brito, there were four models who also appeared in 12 shows: Lena Hardt, McKenna Hellam, Odette Pavlova and Romy Schonberger. Charlee and Ysaunny were selected for this list based on the number of high-profile shows they walked, opened and closed.

Top 10 Models of NYFW Fall 2017
10. Charlee Fraser (IMG): 12 Shows
Charlee Fraser was a pretty familiar face at this season’s New York Fashion Week. The Aussie opened Ryan Roche and graced the runways of Alexander Wang, Thakoon, Lacoste, Prabal Gurung, The Row, Oscar de la Renta and Michael Kors Collection. She wasn’t shy about declaring her love for this Tory Burch ensemble, proclaiming , “I live for this runway look.”

9. Ysaunny Brito (The Society): 12 Shows
The Dominican stunner had an eventful week walking in 12 shows, including opening Tome and shutting down the Public School presentation. Ysaunny Brito also hit the runway for Creatures of the Wind, Alexander Wang, Prabal Gurung, Brandon Maxwell, Jeremy Scott, Derek Lam and Micheal Kors Collection. That’s quite a lot of runway mileage to rack up in just seven days.

8. Lia Pavlova (Next): 13 Shows
While her twin Odette Pavlova just missed earning a spot on this list, Lia Pavlova managed to score 13 shows. The Russian represented for Altuzarra, Thakoon, Zimmermann, Lacoste, Self-Portrait and Oscar de la Renta, to name but a few. Since there’s no rest for the weary, she’s already hard at work in London raking up a fair tally of appearances across the pond.

7. Dilone (DNA): 13 Shows
Dilone has easily become one of the most recognized faces on the catwalks and this go-round of NYFW saw the Long Island native opening for Self-Portrait as well as closing Ryan Roche. The runway vet also strutted her stuff for La Perla, Public School, Monse, Lacoste, Jeremy Scott, Anna Sui and Marc Jacobs. Clearly, Dilone’s dominance lives on over in London as she’s already walked for Roland Mouret and Antonio Berardi.

6. Cong He (IMG): 13 Shows
Cong He sauntered down the Public School runway for the first time this season, but that wasn’t her only memorable Fall 2017 moment. The Chinese model also stood out at Calvin Klein, Sies Marjan, Proenza Schouler, Coach 1941, Narciso Rodriguez, Anna Sui, Michael Kors Collection and Tory Burch. She’s also adding quite a bit to her runway résumé by already walking in the Topshop Unique, J.W.Anderson, Burberry and Erdem shows over in London.

5. Mayowa Nicholas (The Society): 13 Shows
It was Mayowa Nicholas' first time walking for Marc Jacobs this season. And the Nigerian beauty also hit the catwalk for quite a few other impressive names, like Calvin Klein, Diane von Furstenberg, 3.1 Phillip Lim, Proenza Schouler, Oscar de la Renta, Michael Kors Collection and Ralph Lauren. Need more proof how in demand she is this season? Just check out her ever-growing list of London Fashion Week Fall 2017 catwalk appearances.

4. Alicia Burke (Supreme): 13 Shows
Jamaica’s own Alicia Burke was no stranger to the runway this season. She closed the Tibi presentation and hit the catwalks at La Perla, Diane von Furstenberg, Jason Wu, Carolina Herrera, Altuzarra, Oscar de la Renta and Anna Sui. Alicia also helped set the stage at Ralph Lauren in a flowing one-shoulder neutral number wrapped up by a wide belt.

3. Jess PW (The Society): 13 Shows
Hailing all the way from Perth, Australia, Jess PW definitely seemed at home in New York walking for Calvin Klein, Diane von Furstenberg, Jason Wu, Altuzarra, Victoria Beckham, Coach 1941 and Narciso Rodriguez along with many others. She closed the Proenza Schouler show in style and since she managed to score the number two spot in last season’s top 10 models of Fashion Month , we’re fairly certain she’ll be racking up even more mileage in London, Milan and Paris.

2. Héloïse Giraud (DNA): 14 Shows
Héloïse Giraud was no slouch this season, clocking in at 14 shows. The French model was spotted at Adam Selman, Brock Collection, MILLY, Tadashi Shoji, Tibi, Jenny Packham, Oscar de la Renta and Tome. She even opened the Naeem Khan show in an eye-catching embellished suit styled with a lacy black bra and tons of jewelry.

1. Jay Wright (Next): 14 Shows
We have to give props where they are due and Jay Wright definitely deserves some applause. Not only did she grace the runways of several high-profile brands (we’re talking Public School, Altuzarra, Sies Marjan, Jeremy Scott, Proenza Schouler, Delpozo, Thom Browne...you get the idea), she’s the only model making a return appearance in this season’s top 10 list for NYFW and even managed to secure the top spot for a second season straight. The American stunner was also last season’s fourth most in-demand model for the whole month , so best keep your eyes peeled for her in the next three fashion capitals.
