Rihanna’s Third and Final Manolo Blahnik Collab Is the Best Yet

Less than a week ago, Rihanna debuted her (and DJ Khaled and Bryson Tiller’s) fashion-filled “Wild Thoughts” video. In it, the fashion and pop icon wears several outfits that seemingly no one else in the world could pull off: an outsize yellow nylon shirt and matching cargo pants by Australian-American up-and-comer Matthew Adams Dolan; a vintage Betsey Johnson orange peasant top (sheer, of course) paired with floral lime green leggings and matching boots by Balenciaga; and another peasant-style dress (also sheer), this one by Alberta Ferretti. While sexy and summer-perfect, the teal frock did little to distract us from what was going on below Rih’s knees. Encircling her legs was a pair of blinged-out Lucite gladiator sandals that hail from the singer’s third and final Manolo Blahnik capsule collection.

Yesterday, Rihanna took to Instagram to announce the So Stoned collection’s July 6 drop date. The songstress also let it be known that this is her “hands down favorite collaboration” with the footwear legend.

We’d have to agree. As the name implies, the limited-edition capsule collection consists of four pairs of bejeweled, BadGalRiri-approved sandals. Taking a page out of her pal Kanye’s book, each style features PVC straps and Perspex heels. Thus, the sandals’ bold Swarovski crystals appear to ornament your feet of their own free will.

Priced from $1265 (for a pair of block-heeled slides) to $2325 (for the aforementioned gladiator sandals), the So Stoned collection will be available online and at select Manolo Blahnik locations. We’re having wild, wild thoughts of treating ourselves to a pair of “Spices.”
