Last season, Stuart Weitzman ditched long-serving campaign photographer Mario Testino (we certainly don’t blame them) in favor of Inez van Lamsweerde & Vinoodh Matadin, who captured models Gisele Bündchen and Doutzen Kroes for Weitzman’s first-ever colored ads. The New York-based footwear label is still in the mood for change apparently, tapping Kendall Jenner, Jean Campbell, Willow Smith and Yang Mi to wear various nude-toned heels for the Spring 2019 campaign.

Our forum members weren’t here for the casting, unfortunately. “I find this ad very unappealing and bland. They look bored or half-asleep, they don’t have any chemistry, Willow looks like she was forced to do it, the shoes are invisible. Nothing works for me,” Morgane07 said.
“I don’t like this campaign and I don’t like any of the models. It looks too commercial,” voiced Perickles.
“Awful… bring Gisele, Doutzen or Kate back!” pleaded DK92.

Also quick to question the casting was vogue28: “This has to be the most random casting of the season, making absolutely zero sense for Stuart Weitzman. I cannot even believe that Inez & Vinoodh’s names are attached to this unfortunate mess.”
“What a mess,” TZ001 echoed.
“A new direction for Stuart Weitzman. I like the colors, styling and only Kendall and Jean in this shot. The other two girls don’t know how to pose, and my God, what’s Willow doing?” asked a horrified Benn98.
Zposen thought Willow looked like a lost sheep too. “This campaign would be SO much more impactful with Jenner and Campbell alone. Not sure what Willow is doing but it does her no favors,” he voiced.
