UK Elle September 2021 : Ramla Ali by Meinke Klein

Ramla Ali Makes a Bold Statement Fronting British ELLE’s September 2021 Issue

Make no mistake, British ELLE has been on a roll recently. It’s all thanks to Farrah Storr and her impressive knack for selecting wonderful and deserving cover subjects, including actual models. For the most important issue of the year, the mag secured none other than Ramla Ali for the occasion bestowing upon us a striking September 2021 cover. The history-making Somali boxer dons a showstopping Christian Dior Fall 2021 creation and jewelry from Cartier (fitting since she was recently announced as the face of the jewelry brand) picked by Aurelia Donaldson for the eye-catching image shot by Meinke Klein.

The cover earned high marks from our forum members. “I quite like this! Love the red/blue contrast, the strong expression (beautiful face!), it all works well together,” proclaimed aracic.

“I love how symmetrical the cover is. You can never go wrong with blue and red. The cover editorial is STUNNING. It reminds me of U.K. ELLE‘s aesthetic way back in 2016,” appreciated crmsnsnwflks.

“Wow, this is stunning! This is what a September cover must look like. Like it or not, U.K. ELLE has better covers than Vogue with less budget… Condé Nast should take notes,” voiced JPineapple.

“One of my favorite September covers! This truly does look superb on the shelves, extremely bold and eye-catching — exactly what a fashion magazine should be (especially for September). The image of Ramla Ali itself is striking enough, but the colors and symmetrical layout do wonders,” raved vogue28.

“She is beautiful and reminds me of Debra Shaw…” shared Phuel.
