Why we like it: She’s not a conventional beauty icon but there’s no denying that Helena Bonham-Carter has a signature look. This creamy nude look is a perfect party look and a great alternative to some of the dark fall looks.
How to get it at home: To get Helena’s porcelain base, choose a foundation that will give you an even finish with some coverage, such as Make Up For Ever’s Liquid Lift Foundation, $44, which smooths the skin and leaves a natural texture. Keep your skin as even as possible by not wearing blush or contour with this look. Using bareMinerals Ready Eyeshadow 2.0 in The Inspiration, $20, take the frosty pink color across the whole lid and blend it towards the brow bone then lightly shade the crease using the palette’s warm plum shade. Apply a thin line of liquid liner, such as NARS Eyeliner Stylo in Carpates, $27, to aid the application of your false lashes and fill in any gaps in the lash line. At this point, instead of applying powder to set the skin, try a spray such as Urban Decay’s Dew Me Moisturizing Setting Spray, $29, which will give a velvet finish instead of a powdery matte one. Apply graduated false lashes, such as Sephora Collection’s Flirt-It Lash Duo, $8. Lastly, get Helena’s nude lip by applying Sunday Riley’s Modern Lip Color in Bare Honey, $32 and layer with a high-shine clear gloss, such as Bobbi Brown’s Crystal Lip Gloss, $18.
