Get Suki Waterhouse’s Pretty Pastel Party Makeup

Who: Suki Waterhouse

Where: The British Fashion Awards

Why we like it: It’s easy during the holiday season to get stuck in a party beauty rut by resting on your go-to bold lip or flicked liner. We love Suki’s pretty pastel eye because it’s so wrong it’s right. With pastels usually reserved for spring and summer it makes it a wonderful unexpected choice for winter.

How to get it at home: Start with a brightening foundation, such as Korres’ Wild Rose Mineral Foundation ($28), blending it well from the center of the face outwards. Add some color back into the cheeks using Dior’s DiorBlush Vibrant Colour Powder Blush in 756 Rose Cherie ($42). Define and shape your brows with a thin pencil, such as Clinique’s Superfine Liner for Brows ($16), using short outward strokes to add depth.

Get Suki’s pretty pastel eye with two steps, first apply a light shimmering highlighter shade, such as Marc Jacobs Beauty’s Tonite Lights Glitter Dust in 302 Stagelight ($32), focusing on the inner third and inner corner. Then apply a lavender shadow, such as Urban Decay’s Eyeshadow in Asphyxia ($18), to the outer two thirds of the lid. Finish off your eyes with a coat of mascara and fluttery lashes, such as Sephora’s Fringe Benefits Lashes ($10). If you have trouble applying lashes, try applying a gel liner first which will help hide any mistakes with application. Last but not least, add a bit of shine to your lips using Soap & Glory’s Sexy Mother Pucker XL Extreme-Plump Collagen Lip Shine ($22)
