Who: Jessica Alba
Where: Comic-Con International 2014
Why we like it: This summer we’ve been favoring bright and bold looks, but as we’re now in the dead middle of the season, we’ve got a bit of a tan and are looking to make it last. A shimmery bronze smoky eye is the best look when you have a tan as it will easily take you from day to night and keep you looking glowing and golden.
How to get it at home: Start with a foundation that will brighten your skin and illuminate, such as bareMinerals‘ bareSkin Pure Brightening Serum Foundation Broad Spectrum SPF 20 ($29). We all may not be blessed with Jessica’s bone structure, but we can definitely fake it. We’re loving BECCA’s Lowlight Sculpting Perfector ($38) for contouring this summer as it’s a blendable formula that is very easy to apply.
Next, it’s time to get started on the eye. Shape and groom your brows using Tarte’s Colored Clay Tinted Brow Gel ($21), which adds color and tames any wayward hairs. Next, get Jessica’s bronzed smoky eye with a palette like Smashbox’s Full Exposure Travel Palette ($22), which has a great mixture of matte and shimmering shadows to allow you to customize your smoky eye. Define and enhance your look with a kohl or gel liner, such as Benefit Cosmetics’ They’re Real! Push-Up Liner ($24), which allows you to get right into the lash line for ultimate definition.
If you’re aiming for the full look, apply some false lashes, but for a more wearable version, try Eyeko’s Alexa Chung Eye Do Lash Enhancing Mascara ($26). Finish off your look with a swipe of Marc Jacobs Beauty’s Kiss Pop Lip Color Stick in Pow 600 ($28).
