This month’s guest editor, Tata Harper, has been making a case for going green when it comes to beauty. From getting the perfect glow to making the transition to an all-natural skincare regimen, Harper’s ethos got us interested in organic and natural makeup. After some investigating, we were disappointed to find out that the word “organic” is almost meaningless when it comes to cosmetics. The FDA doesn’t “define or regulate” the use of this word for brands, however, there are guidelines that must be followed before slapping on the green seal. And since our job is to search the market for the best of the best, we have a carefully curated selection of products with a very high percentage of all-natural, non-toxic and of course, organic ingredients.
