Last night, at the stroke of midnight, histoRih was made. Fenty Beauty by Rihanna, possibly the most anticipated makeup line of 2017 — and for a year that saw the debut of KKW Beauty and Pat McGrath’s permanent line, that’s saying a lot — launched in a staggering 17 countries worldwide.
The groundbreakingly inclusive range includes 40(!) foundation shades, mattifying powder, blotting papers, primer, brushes, a sponge, a universally flattering lip gloss, a wide selection of contour sticks and a host of glittery highlighters in inventive (and exquisitely named) shades that will have you literally shining bright like a diamond. Two years after cryptically trademarking the name Fenty Beauty, Rih more than delivered the goods (to women of every skin tone, all over the globe).
The line, which is now available to shop in Sephora stores, on Sephora.com and at FentyBeauty.com, is also financially accessible. The most expensive products (the powder highlighters and liquid foundations) ring in at $34.

What are you waiting for? Get shopping; get experimenting. “Makeup is there for you to have fun with,” says Rih. “It should never feel like pressure. It should never feel like a uniform. Feel free to take chances, and take risks, and dare to do something new or different.”
That said, if you do crave structure, Rihanna and her Global Artistry Team (James Kaliardosas, Priscilla Ono and Hector Espinal) specify that the optimal “Fenty Face” begins with a soft matte filt’r (care of the primer and/or foundation), followed by a strategically placed, dimensional highlight. To maintain said Fenty Face, blot wherever and whenever necessary throughout the day.
