One of the biggest makeup trends of the Spring 2018 season was no makeup and by no makeup, we mean the retirement of foundations, heavy powders, lipsticks, eyeshadows, eyeliners and basically most of the items in your makeup bag. Instead, glowing and glossy au naturel fresh faces strutted down the runways with only a dash of highlighting and a chic, dewy pout. It turns out all that time and money you spent making your skin look hydrated and clear this winter was the best investment for your makeup bag this upcoming season.
The great thing about highlighting your face is there is no right way to do it and you can go as subtle or glam as you want with this versatile beauty look. For a simple day look, you can dust a little over your cheeks or use as eyeshadow. For a more evening look, you can dust a little everywhere, including your cleavage, should you choose to sport some. Highlighter can also be emphasized with the use of bronzer and blush. Just make sure to knock your brushes of excess highlighter before applying to ensure it applies properly and doesn’t fall on your clothing.
Read on for some of the prettiest looks from the runways along with some of our favorite gold highlighters to help you get your glow on.
