There are lots of things to love about summer. Weekends camped out at the beach, a never-ending supply of crop tops , finding new and creative ways to rock cutoffs and restocking your sandal collection. But fall brings its own highlights. Pumpkin spice everything , fashion month street style watching and a fresh batch of perfumes for women.
Switching up your scent in fall makes sense just like refreshing your wardrobe but this year, perfumers want you to think outside the olfactory box. Several just-released fragrances rely on more summery notes like citrus and cherry as signatures. In order to make them more fall-appropriate, warm accents of cedar, sandalwood, vanilla and musk were added.
The result? An array of unique scents you’ll want to wear through winter and maybe even into spring. Here are 11 new fall perfumes to spice up the season.

Tom Ford
Lost Cherry, $320 at Tom Ford
This scent doesn’t come out until October, but it’s worth the wait. It plays up both the sweet and tart sides of cherries and adds in florals Turkish rose and jasmine sambac for a fresh spin. Throw in sandalwood, vetiver and cedar for a truly unique olfactory experience.
Tom Ford
Givenchy Beauty
Eau de Givenchy Eau de Toilette, $90 at Barneys
Didn’t have a chance to go on a vacay this summer? Well, you’re in luck since this new scent is inspired by the south of France. While it has citrus notes, the addition of musks, cedarwood and bitter almond put it firmly in the fall category.
Jo Loves
Jo by Jo Loves, $175 at Jo Loves
Another citrus-based scent, Jo Malone worked in black pepper and cedarwood for a spicy spin. Grapefruit, lime, bitter orange and spearmint round out the sure-to-be signature scent. And the eye-catching red bottle makes a statement, too.
Commodity
Bois, $105 at Commodity
We love a warm, woodsy scent for fall and this new entry from Commodity fits the bill. The moody fragrance relies on bois de cedar, Australian sandalwood and pink pepper for an intense aroma, but don’t worry, it has a softer side thanks to its silky finish.
Dior
Joy By Dior, $130 at Dior
Dior's first new fragrance since 1999 keeps the florals going for fall with a blend of flowers and citrus fruits. Sandalwood adds a touch of softness, while musks provide a powdery finish. The multifaceted fragrance also comes in a fancy bottle perfect for displaying on your vanity or Instagram.

Diptyque Paris
Eau de Parfum 34, Boulevard Saint Germain, $190 at Diptyque Paris
Diptyque Paris is known for its terrific-smelling candles so it only makes sense the brand would create must-have scents, too. You just might warm up to winter since this perfume is perfect for colder seasons, boasting both sandalwood and vanilla. A twist of pink berries keeps things interesting.
Juicy Couture
Oui Eau de Parfum Spray, $105 at Sephora
Described as a fruity floral, Juicy Couture’s latest offering has a tart freshness due to the joining of lemon and watermelon in a water lemon note. But the scent takes a sophisticated turn with the addition of jasmine absolute and tuberose. The distinctive scent's sleek finish can be credited to its techno woods accent.
Mugler
Aura Refillable Eau de Toilette, $80 at Ulta Beauty
Fresh scents aren’t strictly for summer. Case in point: Mugler’s new fragrance featuring pear extract, hibiscus seed, tiger liana, iris root and vanilla. Plus, the otherworldly green bottle is pure eye candy.

Fleur D’Argent Eau de Parfum Spray, $99 at Sephora
If you like your florals ultra feminine with a little kick, meet your new BFF. Classic jasmine is paired with the brand's new kid on the block, tuberose, for a balanced concoction. Strong notes of musk and Akigalawood keep the scent from being too precious.
Jo Malone London
Honeysuckle & Davana Cologne, $136 at Jo Malone London
