Try to choose organic produce. The little bit more that it might cost is well worth avoiding toxic pesticides.
- 4 stalks of celery
- 1 medium sized organic apple
- 1 cup watercress ¼ teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1 ½ cups of water
Blend.
This smoothie is a perfect one-stop detox. Herbalists have long used watercress as a blood purifier, as it’s packed with system cleansing properties that help to clear toxins from the body. Because of its high potassium content, it's strongly alkaline and, therefore, considered useful in treating acidity and purifying the blood. As a bonus, cinnamon is a natural anti-imflammatory — this is purely beauty from the inside out!

Sarma Melngailis
Founder of Pure Food and Wine and One Lucky Duck
- 2 cucumbers, peeled and chopped
- ½ pineapple, peeled and chopped
- 1 large bunch cilantro
- ½ cup coconut water or filtered water
- 2 tablespoons agave nectar, or more to taste
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
Cilantro is hands down my favorite herb. I would put it on everything if I could. It also happens to be incredibly healthy. It's a potent antibacterial remedy and a powerful chelator. Basically, if you eat tons of cilantro it can help keep you free from infections, and pull toxins, heavy metals, yeast and more bad things out of your body. So, this shake is a good way to get a huge dose at once and it tastes delicious.

Within 5 to 10 minutes after a workout with weights I like to drink this. By using water it keeps the protein shake low in calories while sending protein right to my muscles. I use one scoop of the protein mix.

Anna Kaiser
Founder of AKT INMOTION
A modified version of Juice Genertion's Protein Buzz
- almond milk
- hemp protein
- raspberries
- blueberries
Blend.
I like to modify Protein Buzz by taking out the agave because it has too much sugar! I don't want to spike my bloodsugar too much. The protein helps give me sustained energy without a crash later from the additional sugar.

- 2 apples
- 1 cucumber
- 4 leaves of kale
- 2 cups of spinach
- 1/2 lemon
- small piece of ginger
Blend.
I drink this super green juice at least once a day. It's incredibly refreshing plus it has amazing health benefits. Besides detoxifying and aiding digestion, this miracle juice has endless cancer preventing benefits, builds the immune system, cleanses blood, and even promotes weight loss. Another great benefit is the effect is has on my skin. The cumber is immensely hydrating plus it is a great source of silicon to improve the complexion of the skin. On top of that, lemon juice is an antiseptic which helps to cure skin related problems. And of course, beauty starts from within so while this juice is keeping me healthy and clean on the inside, the results visibly show on the outside!

Karyn Nesbit
Instructor at SoulCycle
- 1/2 cup frozen blueberries
- 1 acai packet (you can find these in the frozen fruit section)
- 1/2 a banana
- 1 scoop hemp protein (doesn't taste the greatest, but it's natural — doesn't have a laundry list of ingredients like most protein powders)
- 1/2-3/4 cup almond milk
- 1 tbsp almond butter
- 2 cups of spinach (or more... as much as you can shove in there)
Blend.
I love Juice Generation, specifically their amazing green acai bowl. Out of convenience, and to save money I created my own version using similar ingredients. I love it because it's delicious and a good way of intaking more greens and protein. I usually make this smoothie around midday or after dinner.

Alison Cohen

- apple
- banana
- strawberry
- mango
- lemon
- spirulina field of greens powder.
Blend.
The above are all the ingredients that go into my favorite smoothie from Juice Press, MILF (mothers interested in learning food). It's made with spirulina, a form of blue- green algae that helps aid in digestion and it's high in antioxidants, omega 3s, along with vitamin A,C,E and B complex vitamins. This smoothie boosts my energy after a workout, and has the perfect amount of sweetness to help satisfy any dessert cravings!

Carissa-Ann Santos and Jacob Mabanta
Founders of Love Grace
- water and meat from 1 young thai coconut
- 2 Tbsp chopped fresh lemon grass
- 3 or 4 fresh mint leaves
- 1/2 cup ice cubes
Place young Thai coconut on a flat sturdy surface. Using a meat cleaver or strong chef knife open a square hole in the top of the coconut with 4 good whacks. Pour water into a blender through a strainer. Using a tablespoon, scrape out the white fleshy meat inside making sure to discard any parts of the hard shell. Add meat, lemon grass and mint to blender and blend until smooth. You can pour this silky drink back into the coconut and enjoy with a straw.
Young coconuts are one of the highest sources of electrolytes and healthy fats on the planet. The medium-chain fatty acids in coconut meat allow the body to burn fat for energy leaving those who consume it regularly to be leaner and with more stamina.

Founder of d'Vida Health Bar
- 8 oz d'Vida Smoothie Base
- 1 oz peanut butter
- 1 - 1.5 bananas
- 1 oz sugar free dark chocolate sauce
- Add protein or other supplement as desired
Blend.
I like peanut butter and combined with our smoothie base and banana, it makes the perfect low glycemic, high protein shake that fills me up post workout or when on the run and don’t have time for lunch – excellent meal replacement! The best part is making it into a Smooccino, where it’s combined with espresso and steamed for those colder days.
-

I love acai smoothies — the superfruit is packed with antioxidants and tastes a little chocolatey, which goes great with the other fruits. I use almond milk to keep it dairy free and the chia seeds are a great source of healthy protein.

A green juice instantly hydrates the skin while encouraging lymphatic drainage, so you are de-puffed and glowing. Substitute a green juice for that 4 p.m. coffee you have everyday. If you are crashing at your desk in the p.m. and need caffeine, you should try a green juice instead. It will hydrate and refresh your skin from the inside out. It will also give you a great kick of energy that you won't feel from just a coffee.
