V Magazine #120 Fall Preview 2019 : Bella Hadid by Mert Alas & Marcus Piggott

Bella Hadid Gives Good Face on V Magazine’s Electric Fall Preview 2019 Cover

Ever since the industry first laid eyes upon Bella Hadid, it was apparent the girl had a face for beauty. So our forums weren’t surprised to see Christian Dior pick her to become the face of its cosmetics line back in 2016. Bella’s also stunned on numerous covers, like Allure, Harper’s Bazaar Arabia and ELLE France. V Magazine is the latest publication to embrace Bella’s beauty, welcoming her back for a second time as she works her magic on the Fall Preview 2019 edition. Captured by photographic duo Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott, Bella wears a full face of Dior products applied by Peter Philips in the bold and intriguing cover image.

The cover wasn’t a total hit with the majority of our forum members. “Love the makeup! But I don’t think it works as a cover with that logo,” pointed out jorgepalomo.

“Same, I love the makeup, but her head looks big and her neck and torso very tiny. I still like the cover though,” replied FashionMuseDior.

“Well, at least it’s not a pop star,” said Marc10, calling out the mag for its cover star track record.

“Wow! Is this Richard Burbridge’s first cover for V?” mocked mikel.

Benn98 felt the same way: “I sometimes wish I didn’t know that much about fashion. Maybe then this cover would’ve seemed innovative. But knowing that it’s essentially another paid Dior advertorial hence Peter’s involvement, and knowing that it looks nearly identical to Richard Burbridge’s work for British Vogue and W takes away so much from this cover for me.”

Everyone else appreciated the cover for what it is. “Stunning! Bella truly delivers,” heralded MON.

V‘s covers of late have been extremely dire and forgettable, so it’s fab to see the magazine back in full form with an electric cover like this,” praised vogue28.

“At first I always want to complain about how stiff she is, but I cannot reject how gorgeous her face is,” confessed dontbeadrag.
