Nicolas Ghesquière showcases his Louis Vuitton brand ambassadors at every given opportunity. So it should come as no surprise to see Alicia Vikander, Emma Stone along with Léa Seydoux joining forces once again in Vuitton’s latest campaign. The three actresses return for the “New Classics” handbag campaign captured by Craig McDean before makeshift Paris backdrops while sporting variations of the brand’s Capucines, Dauphine and Twist handbags.
But the campaign failed to captivate our forum members. “Who knew that a day would come when blue chip campaigns would start looking like movie promo shots?” complained Urban Stylin.
“This looks off. Even the background looks almost like a set,” proclaimed TaylorBinque.
“This is honestly appalling. I don’t care about Emma or Alicia, but poor Léa,” Nomar chimed in.

Benn98 wasn’t impressed, either. “McDean’s work for this brand is so unimaginative and cheap. The money must be good. Everything looks fake, even Emma’s porcelain skin and scarlet hair…”
“Why bother giving Emma Stone a multimillion dollar contract if you’re going to make her into a CGI character?” asked Melancholybaby.
“Despite the atrocious photography, the fake-looking Paris backdrops and the very little tolerance I have for Vuitton campaigns under Ghesquière — I always enjoying seeing Léa Seydoux as the face of the brand,” said vogue28.
