The legendary jeweler Martin Katz was commisioned to embellish one of DKNY’s Golden Delicious bottles with 183 yellow sapphires, 2,700 white diamonds and a 2.43-carat yellow canary diamond. If that doesn’t sound flashy enough for your taste, the one-of-a-kind bottle is made out of 14-carat white and silver gold.
Chanel Iman was tapped as the spokesmodel for the public unveiling and net proceeds of the sale of the glittery golden apple will go to Action Against Hunger global charity. Weirdly, DKNY is planning to sell the item on their Core Club Facebook page. Sure, I buy million dollar items on Facebook every day. That’s a totally appropriate venue for such a luxury sale.
