Today is the day I’ve been most excited about because Michael Kors, Marchesa, Proenza Schouler and J. Mendel are all taking place by day and then Pharrell is showing a new collection tonight at The Standard. It will certainly be interesting to see what Pharrell has up his sleeve.
Outfit-wise, I went for a striped look once again, but this time I opted for an embellished top with a built-in blouse – truly mindless layering! It combines Kors’ Americana aesthetic with J.Mendel’s glitz, but at a fraction of the price since everything I’m wearing is from Macy’s INC International Concepts. Built-in layered pieces are always a fashionable best friend because they give your outfit visual interest without adding bulk (no one wants bulk, especially when surrounded by models all day!).
