Holly Rose Emery Joins Camilla and Marc’s Resort 2013 Suprematist Movement

But in between all her footwork for Marc Jacobs, Moschino, Chanel, Valentino and Dries van Noten, she’s also found herself the face of Australian brand Camilla and Marc’s Resort 2013 campaign. Nor has she been neglecting her Instagram duties, posting a photo from the shoot yesterday along with a shout out to Sydney-based photographer Justin Ridler and stylist (and wearer of excellent beanies) Mark Vassalo. Follow her if you also enjoy throwback Halloween costumes and adorable backstage selfies.

The collection itself draws on the principles of the Suprematism art movement and translates them into pared-back, geometric clothing. The angular shapes that pervade the abstract art of that period are something that probably would appeal to Camilla and Marc Freeman, who are known for their sharp tailoring. Into that are thrown a few neoclassical silhouettes and sculptural dresses. There’s more of that love-it-or-hate it neoprene alongside draped satin and fine mesh.

But it’s the colors we love in the campaign. Neon orange and fuchsia, intense monochromatics, soft pastels and a metallic brocade that they’ve proved works in warmer weather before. The collection is available now on Camilla and Marc’s website.
