Edie Campbell Wins Goodwood in Vivienne Westwood

Wearing a beautiful silk blouse emblazoned with roses designed by Vivienne Westwood, some could perhaps count it as another elaborate day of modelling, but it’s clear that this girl has talent in spades.

This, of course, was not her first win on Goodwood ground as she took home the same cup in 2011, but Edie was still super pleased to win the annual charity race once more and raise £10,000 for The Reading Agency — a charity that promotes reading for children and adults. She was even more thrilled when she was handed her Theo Fennell designed Magnolia Cup by none other than Tom Cruise, who arrived at the event in the humblest of transport — a helicopter.

Edie Instagrammed a picture of her racing partner before the big win. “See the Storm just having a little snooze before our race tomorrow.”

Fennell, who sponsored the event, awarded the winning jockey a diamond tie pin and a decanter bedecked with a silver skull stopper, although it was definitely all in the presentation as Edie looked thrilled to grab a cheeky kiss from Tom. In her wonderfully honest manner, Edie revealed post-race to the Telegraph, “My legs were still really wobbly after the race…a dramatic fall into the arms of Tom Cruise would not have been cool.” Luckily, her lovely boyfriend, Otis Ferry, was also on hand to catch her.
