The affair took place at Metropolitan West in a space where it was hard to see, mainly because the space was illumined within an inch of its life with electric blue disco lights. Typical club fare, though. But through the cyan haze, we were able to spot Constance Jablonski deep in conversation. Donatella Versace made an appearance at the event earlier, but was gone by the time we arrived on the scene.
Possibly the most exciting part of the night was when Rihanna, who was present at the runway show, showed up to the party (fashionably late, naturally), but blink and you missed her. We were able to chat with a young man in a beautiful, pearl-beaded Balmain jacket who entered with the singer, though.
Of course, we had to inquire about RiRi’s whereabouts. “She just left,” the fellow said, not 10 minutes after she arrived. Understandable, considering by the time she got there, the place had drastically cleared out. An open room is no place for an international superstar, after all.
