Frieze London Kicks Off October 15

The Frieze Art Fair is gearing up to kick off in London this week, set to be housed this year in a structure located in Regent’s Park, created by London’s Universal Design Studio. Inside, you’ll find work from established and emerging artists, all putting their wares on display to sell to wealthy collectors. The rest of us can look, enjoy and imagine what it would be like to have hundreds of thousands of dollars at our disposal to decorate our expensive penthouses.

This year’s exhibitors include the Gagosian Gallery, Laura Bartlett Gallery, Timothy Taylor Gallery, Vilma Gold and many more. Frieze has also added a “Live” category to the fair, in which viewers can experience performance art installations. Expect to see works from Martin Creed, Eric BainbridgeHaegue Yang and several others.

It looks like the entire city is bracing itself for Frieze, including the fashion set. London’s Dover Street Market has taken past Frieze events as an opportunity to woo the art world’s fashion-forward clientele. This year, it is showing installations from Ann Demeulemeester, Nicolas Buffe and plans to debut Louis Vuitton‘s much-anticipated “Icons and Iconoclasts” collection.

Frieze Art Fair runs October 15 to October 18, so if you’re in London, check it out. Tickets are still available for purchase here.
