Prepare to laugh all holiday season long and into 2015: Julia Louis-Dreyfus has been named the new face of Old Navy and her hilarious campaign is set to drop today.
The Veep actress follows fellow funny gal Amy Poehler and will star in the retailer’s commercials from now until the summer. Julia is said to have had a huge hand in conceptualizing the campaigns, two of which were directed by Roman Coppola. The first commercial depicts the actress as an overachieving holiday hostess, bent on letting everyone know just how great and can-do she is — until a few Old Navy clad guests arrive and she hears about how inexpensive those holiday duds were. Julia leaves her turpigen (a chicken inside of a pig inside of a turkey, of course) to hit the store.
