According to People, the 42-year-old actress had her bachelorette party and rehearsal dinner the same weekend with family and friends, including Nicole Richie and Drew Barrymore. The rehearsal dinner was orchestrated by renowned wedding planners Yifat Oren and Stefanie Cove, whose client list boasts Barrymore, Anne Hathaway and Reese Witherspoon. It was reportedly at the couple’s L.A. home on Sunday and was catered by Mediterranean restaurant Lucques, a foodie favorite in L.A. Witnesses also spotted an intimate, candle-lit affair at Il Cielo on Saturday night.
As for the wedding, here’s what we know. Oren and Cove arrived at the couple’s gated neighborhood on Monday morning, along with trucks carrying an assortment of white flowers from The Velvet Garden, the same florist Barrymore enlisted for her wedding to Will Kopelman in 2012. A large tent for the ceremony and reception was set up on the property and decorated with white flowers, olive trees and beeswax candles. Over 90 guests arrived for the “I dos,” which were performed on Monday evening in a Jewish ceremony and followed by a reception with live performances by Ryan Adams and Lionel Richie. The wedding party included Barrymore and Richie as bridesmaids along with Chimene, Diaz’s sister, and the actress’ assistant, Jesse Lutz. All four women wore black and carried a white bouquet. So far, the bride’s gown remains under wraps, although Us Weekly is reporting that the ceremony dress featured “a low back and lots of sparkle” while a second white gown, slipped on before the cake-cutting ritual, had short sleeves and a beaded bodice.
Following the ceremony, the couple told People: “We couldn’t be happier to begin our new journey together surrounded by our closest family and friends.”
