Just when you thought you knew everything you needed to know about Miranda Kerr, the Australian model goes and jaws racy topics with Harper’s Bazaar for its February 2015 issue. We must have missed the memo, because we thought this kind of talk was reserved for men’s mags. Maybe it was the Terry Richardson cover shoot that inspired the conversation? Nevertheless, the findings were interesting.
Let’s get one thing straight: Miranda’s not looking for a relationship. “I’m just not,” she reiterated. But when she is on the hunt for a special someone, sleeping together (not the slumber kind) on the first date is probably not on the cards. “My philosophy is that until you get to know them it’s better not to, because energetically as a woman you get attached,” she explained to Harper’s Bazaar, presumably in her best philosophical voice. “So you’re better off to go on a few dates and see if you want to get attached or not.”
Interestingly, when given a great opportunity to namedrop Wonderbra, she mentioned a high-waisted garter belt by Myla as a good choice of underwear for the first date. “Say it’s winter, and you have really nice underwear on, a garter belt, stockings, boots that come up, and a dress on over the top,” she said. “No one needs to know.” Hmm. No one excluding the entire world that you just delivered that information to, Miranda.
If it was up to her, she’d probably forgo clothes altogether as a self-professed nudity lover. “I quite like being naked,” she revealed. Hey, if we were you and possessed your perfectly engineered bod, we’d quite like that too. Her favourite nude activities include, but are not limited to, sunbaking naked (probably why we’ve never spotted a tan line on this faultless homosapien) and, if she could, skinny dipping. “If I didn’t have to worry about anyone taking my picture, I’d totally be out there,” she justified to the magazine she just posed semi-nude for.
We hope everyone learned something new about Miranda Kerr today. If you want to find out even more, you can read the entire interview here. She also talks about her relationship with Louis Vuitton’s Nicolas Ghesquière, tabloids and, of course, her four-year-old son Flynn and ex-hubby Orlando Bloom. It just wouldn’t be a Miranda Kerr story without the mention of those last two things.
