Latin singer Thalía Sodi is jumping back into the fashion biz, teaming with Macy’s for a branded collection. Back in 2003, the Mexican singer launched a clothing and homewares line with Kmart, but this time around, she and Macy’s will be collaborating over the course of several years. Macy’s says this is the largest private brand it has ever put forth.
The offering is as lively as the woman who fronts it. Be prepared for a ton of animal print, lots of gold trim, jewelry that doesn’t skimp on the bling, curve-hugging pieces in stretchy fabrics and ruching galore. Prices are pretty affordable for apparel, starting at $49.50 for a top or bottom and peaking at $99.50 for a dress. Macy’s is targeting areas with large Latin populations like New York City, Miami and Los Angeles.
The collection is due to hit shelves at the start of February.
