‘Alice in Wonderland’ Is Getting Its Own Museum Exhibit

Alice in Wonderland is turning 150 this year and the V&A museum is planning to celebrate with The Alice Look, an exhibition highlighting the central character. The show will explore the impact that Alice has had on fashion and culture.

From May 2 to November 1, the V&A Museum of Childhood will have everything from sketches to music videos, all of which have been influenced by the tale. Some familiar works will be included in the exhibition, like Annie Leibovitz’s famous Alice-themed Vogue photoshoot starring Natalia Vodianova. This work will be on display alongside a collection that includes sketches, footage from runway shows and a rendering of Alice’s iconic outfit — the blue dress, white apron, tights and shoes — done by Josie Smith.

Sounds like it is shaping up to be quite a lovely homage to the beloved children’s character.
