Glamour model Gabi Grecko, more fondly known as 71-year-old Geoffrey Edelsten‘s fiancée, has escaped conviction for strolling through Melbourne naked, after promising she will never do it again.
The Herald Sun reports that Gabi, real name Gabriella Rose Curtis, fronted Melbourne Magistrates’ Court yesterday, May 5, following charges of wilful and obscene exposure for walking up Bourke Street naked on December 18, 2014.
The court summary said that Gabi’s naked wander, which was documented on Sneaky magazine, lasted around ten minutes, during which time she entered a Hungry Jack’s and left “without purchasing anything”.

Gabi was reportedly shaking as she told the court she understood her chance to avoid conviction. She has been placed on a diversion program and agreed to donate $750 to the court fund.
Deputy Chief Magistrate Jelena Popovic said Gabi had no prior criminal history, and the decision to avoid conviction will allow the model to continue travelling freely between the US, where she’s from, and Australia.
“This opportunity is only provided to you once … the letter Ms Curtis has provided to the court is very much in the nature of restorative justice,” Jelena told Herald Sun.
Gabi’s manager, Trish Maskaric, told Herald Sun last month that her client was remorseful of her actions. “Gabi is sorry she has done it, but said she wanted to tick it off her bucket list,” Trish said. “She has learnt her lesson and won’t do it again.”
Gabi has also apologised to the Bourke Street Hungry Jack’s by writing a letter to the restaurant’s manager and staff several days ago. “I am contrite and remorseful for this conduct which I deeply regret,” part of the letter read.
