Job offers and support from all around the world are pouring in for Brisbane-based Madeline Stuart, an aspiring model with genetic chromosomal disorder Down syndrome.
The 18-year-old is truly inspirational, proving that people with disabilities are not only beautiful, but also more than capable of making it big in the cut-throat fashion industry. “I think it is time people realised that people with down syndrome can be sexy and beautiful and should be celebrated,” her mother, Rosanne, told Daily Mail Australia.
Run by her Mumager, Madeline’s social media following reflects what a powerful message she is sending to the world. Her Facebook has over 362,000 likes, and her Instagram account has over 32,000 followers. Among her fans are actor Marlon Wayans, family band Jonas Brothers, and Vine star Lance Stewart.

In addition to the celeb support, Madeline has also been recognised by TV programs, modelling agencies, magazines and websites globally, from Argentina to the US.
Perhaps the most heartwarming support comes from those who have, or know someone affected by, a disability. They have freely given praise and approval for the empowering and beautiful teen, and rightly so.
Facebook user Tammy Jackson Hammond wrote, "I always thought there should be more models and actresses with disabilities. I've always been in a wheelchair and as a young person I wanted to be one so badly. But look at you, paving the way.....so proud to have an advocate such as yourself!"
Following Jamie Brewer's history-making moment at NYFW earlier this year, when she became the first-ever Down syndrome model to walk during fashion week, we think common perceptions of beauty could finally be changing, for the better.
TODAY presenter Sylvia Jeffreys, who accompanied Madeline on her first big shoot for clothing brand Living Dead, said, "She's really redefining beauty and people are stopping and thinking twice about what is beauty and what should be in front of the camera. And she deserves to be in front of the camera."
