James Bond Costume Designer Julie Harris Dies at 94

Harris is responsible for the outfits in the Beatles’ Help! and HA Hard Day’s Night, and created the costumes for Bond films like 1967’s Casino Royale and Live and Let Die. She also did the costumes for Rollerball, Goodbye, Mr. Chips and The Great Muppet Caper. British Film Institute curator Jo Botting confirmed Harris’ death as she was a close friend.

“In a career that embraced more than 80 films and television productions, as well as several stage plays, Julie worked with some of the greatest international stars in the history of cinema, and for some of its most legendary directors and producers,” Botting said. “Her outstanding work was constantly nominated for awards. She was an amazing woman.”

Her work will live on forever in film and she will always be remembered for bringing the London look to life on the big screen.
