When stylist Jules Sebastian stepped out for the Sydney premiere of Cinderella earlier this year, all eyes were on her $13,500 custom-made gown. Covered with 25 messages of kindness courtesy of Disney’s social media followers, it was truly something else. Now you can wear the very same piece, for whatever occasion it might turn out to be appropriate for, straight off Jules’ back. That’s right, it’s up for auction.
The one-of-a-kind piece by One Day Bridal is made from blue moda and natural silk organza, and finished with natural satin ribbon and gold thread hand embroidery with words of wisdom like, “Be your own kind of beautiful” and “Don’t hurt. Live gently. Be kind.”
The bidding begins at $500, which isn’t bad considering the garment is worth 27 times that amount. Plus, the money will go straight to The Walt Disney Company Australia’s trusted charity partner, Big Brothers and Sisters Australia.

“They are a charity that helps young people who face serious adversity, develop supportive, meaningful, monitored mentoring relationships with adult volunteers,” Jules wrote to her blog. “Their goal and dream is to connect disadvantaged children with a positive role model to break the cycle of disadvantage. It’s a wonderful cause and one I am proud to support.”
The sale is happening to help celebrate the release of Disney’s Cinderella on Blu-Ray and Digital in Australia today, June 24, and the successful bidder will also win a limited-edition Cinderella glass slipper and the film on Blu-Ray in addition to the majestic piece. If you use the Blu-Ray cover as a clutch, you could literally have an entire head-to-toe Cinderella outfit ready to go for your next big pumpkin ride.
