Media gunna media but Taylor Swift is asking the Australian press to “take it down a notch”, insisting that her 26th birthday, rumoured to involve the likes of Ed Sheeran, Selena Gomez and Gigi Hadid on Hamilton Island, is going to be “a quiet one this year”.
The songstress, who is currently down under on the Australian leg of her “1989” tour, took to Instagram overnight to thank Hamilton Island for hosting 125 of her tour crew, who she took on vacation to thank for all their hard work. Finishing off the post, she wrote, “Aussie press, I love your enthusiasm but my birthday isn’t for 2 weeks and it’ll be a quiet one this year. Let’s take it down a notch:)”
While we don’t necessarily believe that she will be finishing off such an epic tour in low-key fashion, her request isn’t out of the blue with Michelle Tapper and her Sunrise team having been booted off Hamilton Island earlier this week because of a “total media ban”.
While she might not be the biggest fan of Aussie media right now, she’s definitely making friends down under.
