There’s less than 4 hours to go until fashion’s biggest night of the year. That’s right, the 2024 Met Gala kick-starting this year’s “Sleeping Beauties: Reawakening Fashion” exhibit at The Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York about to commence.
For a number of years, Anna Wintour has turned the annual Met Gala event into fashion’s favorite spectator sport. On the first Monday in May of every year, the fashion pack gathers together to review and dissect the best and worst looks of the night. The dress code for tonight’s buzz-worthy event is “The Garden of Time”, inspired by a short story from 1962 of the same title written by J.G. Ballard. You can expect a vast amount of archival magic. Florals are set to be in full bloom on the famed steps of the Met tonight too.
