Not that Giorgio Armani’s clothing isn’t beautiful to begin with, but the casting of Milou Van Groesen in the Spring 2012 ad campaign was an inspired move by the brand. The clothes take on an incredible complementary glow when paired with her hair and complexion, making this campaign a success in the eyes of Fashion Spot forum members.
“Armani campaigns ALWAYS make the collection look so much more exciting than it actually is,” Psylocke wrote. “I’m very pleased with this, Milou looks fantastic, the colors are nice and the styling is great, too. Could become one of my favorite campaigns of this season,” she asserted.
Mackos posted, “These look really great, Milou works the edgy sophistication perfectly.”
MyNameIs tried to put her finger on the appeal of the photos. “These images don’t have much in terms of background, scenery, or props, but they’re so gorgeous. Talk about selling the clothes. Milou looks stunning,” she posted.
I have absolutely no use for this kind of beautifully structured clothing in my life, but looking at these ads makes me want it. Well played Giorgio Armani.
