Members of our forums have mixed reactions toward the cover. “I kind of love it! She doesn’t look real, it’s like a computer game character in an abstract painting or something. The styling is just totally weird and contributes to that odd effect. Definitely different and strange, but I think it’s fun. And wow, would never have guessed this was shot by Ellen! First collaboration between Adriana and her since the late 90s, is that correct?” commented Psylocke.
“I love the colors too and the hair/makeup. You can’t really miss this on the newsstand. I wouldn’t think it was shot by Ellen either if I didn’t already know. The clothes are questionable, but they do add to the shot,” declared vivaglam.
Andrea27 was torn: “Surely, it will be eye-catching on [the] newsstand, but to me [it] looks too plastic, which doesn’t have to be bad, but the attempt isn’t as good at it could be. On the other hand, she’s so pretty here!”
“She just doesn’t pull this look off, it doesn’t work and she’s been heavily retouched as well. Why do you take a beautiful supermodel like Adriana and do this???!” ranted an unsatisfied Bertrando3.
Another member not feeling the cover was gazebo, who posted, “I hate everything, so cheap, so not Vogue!”
