“Looks more like Empire or another movie magazine to me. Not the best composition and art direction either – it looks too cluttered…Daisy is the only one who stands out here. Overall this shot doesn’t create any anticipation and seems strictly for fan boys,” Benn98 ranted the moment the cover surfaced.
“Horrible, really bad image to use for the cover!! It doesn’t work,” echoed Miss Dalloway.
Sharing the same sentiments was GivenchyHomme: “It’s very Entertainment Weekly. I don’t like it.”
Forum member justguy certainly wasn’t showing enthusiasm either, writing, “Same ol’ Leibovitz cover, no creativity or substance to it.”
Also feeling disappointed was MON: “What a huge let down from last month’s superb cover. The potential wasted bothers me. One of the most anticipated movies and you deliver this. The text layout bothers me also. Too big and too cluttered. It swallowed the entire cast.”
“Such a huge possibility for Annie to impress the fashion crowd with her great sci-fi taste and we get this boring and lifeless cover. Nonetheless, as a Star Wars geek, I feel curious for more images,” anticipated Legolas.
