Our forums reacted immediately. “The behind-the-scenes photos are much better and more interesting than the actual ad,” acknowledged gazebo right away, unwilling to get us off to a healthy start.
“The casting for me is the biggest letdown and I think some of the choices are incredibly questionable,” wrote Nomar.
Forum member dior_couture1245 most definitely wasn’t a fan, raging, “So tired of all this Givenchy garbage. Tisci’s GANG, FAMILY, LOVE, blah, blah, blah. Truth of the matter is his clothes and vision are dated and cheesy at this point.”
“Too bad they chose the blandest outfits from the collection for that veterans shot [above]. Are they seriously all holding the exact same purse? Ugh. Hope we get to see those girls modeling the gowns in another shot,” anticipated an underwhelmed Steddycam91.
Elite13 was in the same frame of mind, echoing, “Was there really a need for 27 models?! Especially with all of the icons, they seriously could have handled it on their own.”
“Why did they have to ruin the imagery with the handwritten poem? Just reminds me of the early days of DeviantArt,” mocked RedSmokeRise.
Sharing the same disapproving sentiments was Valentine27: “Considering the veteran cast, the result was completely different in my imagination. I was ready to be amazed but I’m afraid that’s not the case. I wish there were more of a scenery, composition and interaction between them. At the end they’re all just standing there. Disappointed but I hope there’s more pictures coming!”
