Gigi Hadid Just Scored Her Second Vogue Paris Cover Appearance This Year (Forum Buzz)

The Hadid sisters have become fast favorites of Emmanuelle Alt. Bella Hadid is fresh off of Vogue Paris’ September cover while Gigi Hadid bared all on the magazine’s March edition. Now Gigi is back and looking glamorous as ever on French Vogue’s cover for November 2016. This time around, the model is fully clothed in a bejeweled statement jacket from Giorgio Armani Privé. Photographed on location in the city of Rome, Mario Testino captured the decadent moment, with Alt herself on styling duties.

Vogue Paris’ latest left forum members divided in their opinions. “Very glamorous cover for VP, but a bit dated, like a vintage runway presentation. I’m not sure whether I love it or hate it because there’s not much presence here. So it’s all new faces for VP so far, impressive! Two covers for Luna, and two covers for Gigi,” pointed out Benn98.

“The cover is giving off a vintage vibe and I rather like it. I think Gigi looks fabulous, and for some reason the fact that her nails are short and trimmed give a youthful edge to a look that might’ve tipped dangerously into old fashioned, especially when you consider the overall aesthetic they’re going for here on the cover,” replied sweetpop in agreement.

Sharing the same attitude toward the cover kokobombon chimed in, “I like the intention but it turned out too heavy IMO, between the setting, styling and layout.”

“Sorry but I’d prefer Luna [Bijl] (for a third time) again, rather than Gigi. And the cover itself is terrible,” mocked artemovartem.

Anlabe32 wasn’t exactly thrilled either. “Too bad, they were doing a great job with the two Luna and Iselin covers. I don’t understand why they had to choose her for this. I know so many models who would have rocked this,” she exclaimed.

“This is a fantastic cover!! Gigi looks divine – super glamorous and luxe. I love everything about it! Surprised to say so, considering Testino hasn’t really impressed me in years,” said an amazed happycanadian.

How do yo feel toward the cover? It’s certainly not as raved about as her others. Add your own two cents here.
